About Our Flax Seeds
Flax seeds are tiny, but they pack in more fibre and plant-based Omega-3 (ALA) than most seeds on a typical Indian kitchen shelf — which is why a spoonful a day has become such a common habit. Ours are cleaned and sorted to remove husk fragments and dust, so what you get is uniform, plump seed, not filler.
Whole flax seeds have a mild, slightly nutty flavour and a subtle crunch, but many people prefer to grind them coarsely just before eating — it's generally considered easier for the body to make use of the nutrition that way, compared to swallowing them whole. Either way, they're easy to work into daily food: stirred into atta while kneading dough, sprinkled over salads and soups, or blended into a smoothie.
How to Use It
- Take about 1 tablespoon a day, ground — whole seeds pass through digestion largely unabsorbed, so grinding (or buying pre-ground) matters.
- Mix into curd, smoothies, or roti/paratha dough.
- Don't exceed 2 tablespoons a day, and drink extra water since it's high in fibre.
- Store ground flax in the fridge — it turns rancid faster than whole seeds.
Contains tree nuts / seeds. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For children under 3, please introduce nuts and seeds under adult supervision.
